Story so far...

Okay, so, I got my puppet master up and running -- Just. I had some SSL problems, which I had to fix by nuking the SSL directories a few times. I can't recall just now how I did it, but I think I show put that in my blog at some point.

Anyway! My puppet master is called, ... puppetmaster.domain.com and it a CentOS 5.4 base, and it's test client is called desktop.domain.com

Now, my first challenge, I need to figure out how to setup a default user list -- which gets assigned to every linux box.

I better get reading....

Installed my puppet master

I've just installed my first every puppet instance, and I have.... around 0% experience in using puppet to manage my servers. I intend to move my servers over to a puppet managed environment, and I wish to document my journey. Any and all comments are appreciated, and welcome, and you can pretty much say what you want.

I'll explain my environment in more detail as I go along, and I'll also thrown in my ideas and comments. I pretty liberal with my language so i apologise for any swearing, or controversial statements that I might make :)
